On January 27, 2024, the first diesel generator set of Unit 7 of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant was successfully hoisted and introduced into place, creating favorable conditions for the subsequent installation of the diesel engine building.

It is reported that Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant is located in Lianyun District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. It is one of the key nuclear power construction projects launched in China's Ninth Five-Year Plan. As of October 25, 2023, the Tianwan Nuclear Power Station has six operating units that have safely generated more than 400 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, equivalently reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 320 million tons. The project plans to build eight million-kilowatt pressurized water reactor nuclear power units. When completed, the total installed capacity will exceed 9 million kilowatts and the annual power generation capacity will be approximately 70 billion kilowatt hours, accounting for approximately 12% of Jiangsu Province's power generation last year.
