1、 The main fault that water radiators are prone to is water leakage. The main reasons for water leakage are the blades of the fan break or tilt during operation, causing damage to the heat dissipation fins; The radiator is not fixed properly, causing the joint of the radiator to crack during operation of the diesel engine; The cooling water contains too much impurities and salt, causing severe corrosion of the pipe wall and resulting in damage, etc.

2、 Inspection after radiator damage: When there is water leakage in the radiator, the exterior of the radiator should be cleaned thoroughly before conducting a water leakage inspection. During the inspection, except for leaving one inlet or outlet, all other ports should be blocked. The radiator should be placed in the water, and then compressed air of about 0.5kg/cm2 should be injected from the inlet or outlet using an inflation pump or high-pressure cylinder. If bubbles are found to have emerged, it indicates that there are cracks or damages in the area.

3、 Repair of radiator
Before repairing the upper and lower chambers of the radiator, the leaking parts should be cleaned thoroughly, and then the metal paint and rust should be thoroughly removed with a metal brush or scraper, and then repaired with solder. If there is a large area of water leakage at the fixing screws of the upper and lower chambers, the upper and lower chambers can be removed and two appropriately sized water chambers can be remade. Before assembly, apply adhesive or sealant to the top and bottom of the sealing gasket, and then fix it with screws.

4. Repair of radiator water pipes. If the outer water pipe of the radiator is slightly damaged, tin welding can generally be used for repair. If the damage is large, use Needle-nose pliers to clamp the pipe heads on both sides of the damaged pipe to prevent water leakage. But the number of blocked water pipes should not be too large; Otherwise, it will affect the heat dissipation effect of the radiator. If the internal water pipes of the radiator are damaged, the upper and lower chambers should be removed and the water pipes replaced or welded. After assembly, the radiator needs to be rechecked for water leakage.
