The matching parts that must be replaced in pairs during maintenance and overhaul of diesel generator sets and diesel engines are:

Coupling parts in a crank-link mechanism

• After the cylinder liner and piston are worn and form a tapered ellipse, they are usually replaced together.
• After the piston rings are worn, they must be replaced in groups or sets. You cannot replace only one ring or mix the old and new rings.
• The wet cylinder liner water-blocking ring must be replaced in pairs, otherwise, the sealing performance will be affected.
• The crankshaft main bearing bush, connecting rod bush, upper tile, and lower tile must be replaced at the same time. You cannot replace only one of them, otherwise, the normal fit clearance will be affected.
• The main crankshaft bearings (sliding bearings) of horizontal-lever diesel engines must be replaced in pairs. Otherwise, assembly quality cannot be guaranteed.
• The connecting rod shaft and big end cap are assembled and processed with high precision. If they need to be replaced, they must be replaced in pairs. If only one of them is replaced, the assembly technical requirements cannot be guaranteed.
• The two connecting rod bolts must be replaced with a new pair of bolts at the same time to ensure that the deformation of the two bolts is the same after being stressed and to prevent mechanical accidents.

Mating parts for valve train

• The camshaft and camshaft bushing must be replaced at the same time.
• The rocker arm shaft and bushing must be replaced at the same time after wear.
• When repairing and replacing the valve of the diesel generator set, the valve guide and valve seat should be replaced.
• After the valve lock clip and valve spring seat are worn, the valve lock clips must be replaced in pairs.

Fitting parts in the fuel system

• The three major precision coupling parts - plunger coupling - oil delivery valve coupling - and needle valve coupling must be replaced in pairs or pairs.
• After the gear rod and gear ring in the gear injection pump are worn or damaged, they should be replaced at the same time.
• After the plunger-type fuel injection pump and roller-tappet assembly are severely worn, they must be replaced as a set.
• When the speed regulator steel ball needs to be replaced, the speed regulator sliding plate must also be replaced. If not replaced at the same time, the steel ball may be blocked during movement, causing the diesel engine to wander.

Mating parts in the lubrication system and cooling system

• For rotor-type oil pumps, the inner and outer rotors are used in pairs and should be replaced in pairs when they are severely worn.
• For gear oil pumps, the meshing gears are also used in pairs, and they must be replaced in pairs at the same time during repair.
