What are the operating procedures for diesel generators?

1. Inspection before starting

• 1. The diesel generator set must be inspected and confirmed by electrical personnel before starting it.
• 2. Check the lubricating oil level of the diesel engine so that the oil level is in the middle of the upper and lower markings on the oil dipstick. .
• 3. Check the oil level of the diesel tank. It should not be lower than 1/3 of the oil level in the diesel tank. After starting the diesel engine power supply, the diesel oil should be filled in time.
• 4. Check the water level in the cooling tank, which should not be lower than 3/4. If the water level is too low, replenish it in time before starting the machine.
• 5. Check that the outlet of the exhaust stack is not blocked and that there is no debris attached to the air filter.
• 6. Check that the normal voltage of the lead-acid battery is 24V.
• 7. Open the oil valve of the diesel tank, check whether there is oil leakage in the diesel pipeline, and whether the small oil pipes of the unit have fallen off or leaked oil.
• 8. Check whether the fire extinguishing facilities in the computer room are complete and normal.

2. Start

Before starting, check whether the generator conversion screen of the corresponding cabinet and the generator incoming switch are in the disconnected position. Only after confirmation can the diesel engine be started.

• 1. When the control cabinet displays manual "standby", press the start button.
• 2. Each starting time should not exceed 10 seconds to protect the starting motor and battery. If you need to start continuously, you should wait for 2 minutes before starting again. If it fails to start three times in a row, the cause should be identified and the fault should be eliminated before starting again.
• 3. After starting the diesel engine, check whether the voltage, current and temperature on the controller screen are normal. If normal, turn on the main switch of the generator.
• 4. Turn off the mains switch of the distribution cabinet and close the generator incoming switch of the corresponding distribution cabinet.

3. Equipment operating status inspection

• 1. When the diesel engine is running, you should always check the oil pressure, oil temperature, cooling water temperature, charging current instrument indication, generator voltage, and pay attention to the exhaust smoke color and listen to the internal sounds. If you find overheating, black smoke, or knocking If there are knocking sounds or other abnormal phenomena, stop the machine immediately and check to eliminate them. The diesel engine is not allowed to operate with faults to avoid damage to parts.
• 2. When the diesel engine is running, you should always pay attention to the operating conditions of the oil and water pipe connections. If leaks are found, they should be eliminated in time.
• 3. Once the diesel engine overruns, it should be stopped immediately. If the shutdown fails, the air inlet can be blocked to stop the diesel engine.
• Various temperature and pressure regulations:
• Engine oil temperature ≤95℃ Cooling water outlet temperature ≤90℃
• Oil pressure 0.3-0.5Mpa at idle speed 0.1≥Mpa

4. Shutdown

• 1. The load should be removed before shutting down.
• 2. Disconnect the incoming line switch of the generator cabinet in the distribution cabinet;
• 3. Disconnect the generator dust discharge water pump
• 4. Pull down the air switch in the generator control panel and press the stop button.
• 5. The monitor must carefully fill in all relevant records.
